IOTA 250 hydroxyl fluorosilicone oil is a fluorosiloxane polymer with hydroxyl-terminated ends and trifluoropropyl side chains. It can also be a fluorosilicone-siloxane copolymer, a special organosilicon material combining the media resistance properties of fluorine-based materials with the reactivity of siloxanes.
The trifluoropropyl groups introduced into the molecular structure endow the material with outstanding oil resistance and resistance to various organic solvents, while also exhibiting excellent weather resistance and anti-aging properties. The active hydroxyl groups at the molecular ends provide chemical reactivity, allowing it to be used as an intermediate in the synthesis of novel polymer materials or to undergo cross-linking reactions to prepare fluorosilicone elastomers.
The low-viscosity grade can be used as a dedicated structure control agent for fluorosilicone rubber; it can also be added to ordinary silicone rubber systems to modify and improve the oil and media resistance of silicone rubber, effectively optimizing production costs and improving product cost-effectiveness while meeting some of the performance requirements of fluorosilicone products.
Medium to high viscosity grades are suitable as base rubber and diluent for condensation-type room temperature vulcanizing silicone rubber. They are often used to prepare sealants and mold base materials for oil- and solvent-resistant applications, and are suitable for industrial applications such as sealing chemical equipment and preparing media-resistant molds.
